in our factories is selected by certified laboratories. Before
using them on an industrial scale, they are tested in open field
to check their agronomical, physical and organoleptic characteristics.


To ensure that its factories are supplied with high quality grain,
the groupe Glon works with farmers using environment-friendly
fertilisation. This technique is based on soil analyses and enables
to adjust the fertilization strictly to the nutritional needs
of the plant. This limits the usage of fertilizers and preserves
our environment.


In its selection centres, the groupe Glon improves permanently
the nutritional and gustative characteristics of the meats offered
to our consumers. It also enables us to contribute to the spreading
of genetics progress into the farms.


Our R&D
teams have access to unequalled tools when it comes to developing
new techniques and new products designed to make life better
both for farmers and consumers. Among these:
- An independent science committee, as well as an important database to assist
our alert system.
- An integrated laboratory to conduct in vitro experiences.
- Sourches, the largest private animal nutrition research centre
in Europe. A 200-acres farm dedicated to experimentation with
an ISO 9001 certification.
- A national network of pilot farms to check all the innovations in real-life
conditions.


Everyday, the groupe Glon produces over 10.000 tons of
feed in its 30 factories. Thousands of farmers buy these products
marketed under the Sanders brand. Sanders has been the breeders’
reference for innovation and quality for more than 70 years. The
composition of the feed is carefully studied to comply with the
profitability demanded by the farmers but also with the food safety
and environment protection demands of our modern world. Our quality
insurance system guarantees a full traceability of our products,
from raw material selection down to on-farm delivery.

For more than 15 years, the groupe Glon sets up original
methods to limit the impact of agricultural and industrial activities
on the environment. For example, the Corpen biphase feed is wide
spread in the pig farming. Animals are fed dietetic rations, adapted
to their growth needs. The manure they produce contains less nitrogen
and phosphorus - two fertilizers - which can damage the environment
when in excess. Our group also promotes farm buildings that help
to reduce the quantity of manure produced (Agelite for pigs, System’Duo
for rabbits). In the feed mills, as well as in the food processing
plants, environment is a key issue in the quality insurance systems.


Being close to their customers helps Sanders technicians
to assist them throughout each step of their professional life.
For these engineers and technicians, specialized on one species,
animal nutrition is much more than feed quality. By transferring
